GPP Street Team ~ Crusade #36

My introduction to Michelle Ward's Green Pepper Press Crusades came from my good friend Pam Carriker. Pam has participated in these challenges on her blog and I thought they'd be wonderful exercises for my journal. However, it was quite awhile before I found the time to participate.

"Crusade #36 ~ Braving the Elements" is a great exercise in creating your own masks (stencils) and then using those as collage elements on a journal page. Using snowflakes as masks is a wonderful idea, as we all remember how to create these from our elementary school days. I am so glad that I took the time to participate and learn some new techniques in the process.

Michelle Ward offers up wonderful exercises at the GPP blog and I encourage you to check it out. Everyone's welcome!

Nancy - great pages. Love the lettering on them. Thanks for playing along with us. It's been so much fun to read each persons experience with cutting the flakes. Like you, it takes me back to elementary school. Bravo for *making time*.

Beautiful pages. I've been "crusading about a year" and I've learned so much. All these little projects have added alot to my artistic arsenal.
I hope you'll stay involved.

Gorgeous pages. They remind me of Winter with a little bit of Spring peeking through. Very nice lettering too!!!

I like what you did with your snowflakes. And great colors too. Seems there were several of us who used the same colors. Great word play too.

Hi there, nice to meet you through the Crusades. I really like your color scheme, especially with that vibrant lime green. Your snowflakes are great :-) I turned out to be a little bit "snowflake challenged"!

Awesome job Nancy! Way to think outside the box with the color choices:-) It reminds of that last blast of winter that comes through just when you put your sweaters away in the spring-lol!
