This Weekend

This weekend between chores and errands and baking brownies for the Youth Group bake sale at church and hosting a kids' sleepover...I actually made it into my studio long enough to make two collages. Truth be told I guess I did the lion's share of the art on Friday, but that's kind of part of the weekend too :) Today was just SO lovely here in Southern New Hampshire, it was REQUIRED that we go apple picking! The leaf colors were vibrant, the sky a crystal clear blue, the apples sweet and abundant and my little boy was intrigued by the activity of the bees on the dropped apples. It was a perfect Fall day...topped off by a freshly baked apple pie for dessert. I hope your Sunday was equally sublime.

Your collages are wonderful , but your activities over the weekend, make my mouth water. Apple picking is always the best when you top it off with a wonderful pie!

I love the singer heiress! You could build a wardrobe around those buttons.

I like how you incorporated the buttons. If only this sewing heiress were around to help me put the finishing touches on the costumes I have to finish!

Hey Nancy, thanks for your nice comment on my Halloween post. I love the weekends, because I can 'roam' over and see what other artists have ben up to. Very beautiful collages, as usual! And I love what you wrote about autumn. Did you know that the bees which feed on the fallen apples will not sting? The fermenting apple juice is intoxicating to them, like wine is to us, and they get "drunk", so you can tell your son that! It is the best time to look at bees.

Ain't New England great? I think that there's nothing like it in most seasons. Thanks for the Mac recommendation - most artist say "get a mac!! don't think twice".
