New Art Supplies

The wonder of new art supplies!

I had great fun creating this new mixed media piece using, among other things, my new Neocolor II Crayons (water soluble) and oil pastels. My muse stood at attention when the box from Dick Blick arrived and I satisfied her with a few hours in my studio. I love working on these chunky gallery wrap canvases...I love their compact size, yet wonderful depth.

Collage available in my Etsy shop.

Nancy, This is gorgeous! It turned out beautifully. I would love to know which supplies you used and where. Have I ever mentioned that I think you have an exceptional talent for composition?

WOW! This is fantastic. Your use of your own artwork just makes this soar. I love the texture that the canvas wrap allows and your creative ideas just make this one blossom!

Your new piece is gorgeous! I like the illustration with your new crayons, did you buy two different kinds or are the neos oil based water soluble?

You've been reading my mind! I was just looking at some similar acrylic panels in an art store the other day and actually daring to think of working in a new way. Did you feel the ground shake? (change does not come easily for me) Yes, I'm not making promises, but actually rolling around the idea of doing some painting with my collage images on those panels. I haven't tried yet, just warming up to the idea. Now, if I could work like you, I'd be elbow deep already. This is beautiful and rich and wonderful!
