Illustration Friday ~ Pretend
Some of my happiest moments have been spent as witness to the imaginations of my children. As each boy lived through adventures and escapades as a youngster, it was with great joy that I shared in their magical world of PRETEND. My youngest is often fully immersed in his land of make believe and I am almost envious of the stories he can bring to life in his own imagination. Oh, that we could preserve that for a lifetime.
My collage for the Illustration Friday prompt, PRETEND, pays homage to the magic of childhood, imagination and creativity. May it live on in all of us, no matter our age.
This collage is currently available in my Etsy shop.

Hi, Nancy! Great IF submission. I still enjoy pretending. ;-D
So true... I love listening to the stories and games they come up with or even better when they describe their imaginative drawings. It is wonderful to be able to pretend and never loose that sense of wonder.
Thanks for sharing.
Love this. So true, children escape into pretend world and make life out of what right there. WE adults are spend our time pretending we don't see or feel what is there.
this is fantastic... great original style!
Ah, now I'm getting nostalgic... But how sweet with the M's! :P

pretending was so much fun as a child! but my life has surpassed all of my great childhood imaginations!!
such a nice collage, nancy!
This is awesome, I am having a flashback to when I was a toilet paper bride and married my next door neighbor when we were like 4 or 5...let me tell you it was my older sister's idea and my groom even wore one of my dad's suit jackets.
today I envy that imagination but we are very lucky to witness it! Great job Nancy, really adorable!
Gorgeous collage, Nancy!
I'm so happy my son is finally at the stage where he can pretend and make life silly!
