Illustration Friday ~ Wrinkles

The blogger Gods must have known that I would be much too tired today to create anything new for this week's IF...we have just returned today from a week in Walt Disney World. My family concurs that although our Disney vacation was fun and fabulous, it could never be called restful. So please forgive me for offering a collage from a recent post. Because to tell you the truth, at this point, having been awake since 3 AM to catch our flight, I feel WAY more than middle aged and probably look like a head to toe WRINKLE !!

All is forgiven. I love dated pictures of scantily clad attractive women from other eras. It’s like travelling back in time to when they were young and beautiful. All their hopes and dreams . . . And now they are just footnotes in history, and not even that. All things pass; ars longa, vita brevis.

Very nice collage and great text.

Cheers!

It's fun to have a change but it's always nice to come back home.

Disney World can definitely be exhausting! Nice collage!

You gotta love those exhausting vacations, eh? Tom and I had took a vacation that was intended to be restful and dubbed it "Serenity Now." By the end of the trip it had been re-named "Serenity Not." Fun though.

Love this gal. I never get tired of celebrating the lovely and often under appreciated, middle-aged woman!

Hi Nancy - you need a vacation from your vacation! I always think that an extra week should be tacked on to any out-of-town vacation - mandated by law. :-D

Thanks for stopping by my blog, ma'am! Mine wasn't new either. I figured it was better to just go for it rather than do nothing.

I love this piece and the "a smile of extraordinary charm" phrase. Oh, I wish people would say that about me! I fear that it's more likely, "...a smile of extraordinary geekiness." I also love your piece, "Hope Hath Wings."

Get some rest!

I totally sympathize with your needing recovery time from your Disney vacation. I like your collage and particularly enjoy the music staff and words as wings. Like she makes music when she flies. Nice!
