Illustration Friday ~ Save

Do you like to SAVE bits and pieces of fabric, trim and pretty paper? Then you must be a lot like me and this little craft fairy. You just never know when you might need a little piece of this or that. After all, it only took a bit of leftover decorative paper to give this collage a little something extra...every little bit helps. So that's why I SAVE.

(Miss Craft Fairy is available in my CafePress shop as a magnet.)

I know just what you mean. That's why there are so many piles of paper all over my house. And as soon as I get rid of something, I think of a use for it. Pretty illustration.

While I don't save scraps and pieces, I do save digital files that can be used over and over again. I guess I can't stand having physical stockpiles of anything. It all must be digital. But, I admire people who have do have everything at their fingertips! She is a cute collage fairy!

We will soon have to move out...yes we are savers too.
I love this collage and all the pink and the touches of fabric here and there and those gilded wings and signature stockings.

Yes... I save all minds of little things just in case i can use them in a painting. This is lovely - the sepia tones with the touches of pink make this warm and pretty... reminds me of dired roses.

I would love to see your studio and how you store all your bits and pieces. As usual I love this piece. Your work is always so warm and inviting. I especially love the rose in the foreground. Beautiful work!

I used to save every single thing... just in case. But since I don't collage, I really had no excuse and finally gave it all away. I am with Kim though, I save digital scraps like crazy. Once a pack-rat always a pack rat.

You, on the other hand, have every reason to save. You create the most sublime beauties with your found treasures. I salute you!

I think I know her! My husband has a hard time parting with newspapers and I can't stand how they pile up. But ask me to part with my piles of scraps and doo-dads? Not on your life!
Very sweet collage :)
