Illustration Friday ~ Homage

At the risk of appearing to self-aggrandize, I submit today's Illustration Friday piece as an HOMAGE to all mothers. And especially to those stay at home moms who, like myself, at times feel like a glorified chauffeur. We may not bring home a paycheck, but let's remind ourselves that ours is a job done, often without any thanks, but, with a great deal of love and merit.

This is simply beautiful! Your collages are great and I'm sure your children appreciate you and the wonderful sense of beauty, I'm sure you've endowed them with! I'm sure you're a wonderful mom, if your work is any indication! Great Job! Yeah to the Moms of the world!

Wonderful sentiment! I can remember with PASSION being in that car from 2pm until 6.

Your collages always say so much. And you have a unique style that captures attention. I always love the muted tones and shadings.

Some of these mothers look like they have :had a day:

Nancy,
I had not seen yours before mine! Wonderful!! You expressed exactly my thoughts!!! And you know what else, looking back at the many things I have been able to accomplish in life, I have loved being "mum" more than any other.

I'm not yet mom but somewhat I can understand your thought. I can only imagine to be mom would be such a sanctuary thing. Your art is very charming btw.

I'm off to visit my mom right now. I'll make sure she sees your homage to mothers. I'm not a mom myself, but I have the utmost respect, appreciation and awe at how much y'all do. My hats off to you.

Great collage, of course! Fits perfectly.
